On the second day as I’m still getting used to caravanning I woke up late again, I really should sleep more. After a lot of moans and groans we hit the road to Questacon.

Questacon is like science works in a few ways, including machines, Tec and science. In total they are 7 galleries including Color, Fundamental, Awesome Earth Q lab, the shed, Mini Q (that’s for babies), Excite and H20. My personal favorite was Awesome Earth because of the Earthquakes. In that gallery, we had to make a small shelter under corn in a tub then an earth quake would start (I felt it).
Something else I learnt was that they put ink in the money note with can be only seen with advanced Tec to improve security.

After that we went to a show called predator vs prey (at that time my brain felt mush). At predator’s vs prey it was a pop quiz about the animals, first they split the audience in half, half was prey the other was predator. 20 minutes later we were drawing at 4-4 we had to sudden death. Sudden death is when a volunteer has to act it, he must do the best death impression, my brother was in it.
Later that day I went to AIS. AIS stands for Australian institute of sports we arrived there at 2:00pm. We first went for a tour around the AIS we started off with the simulators that some athletes may use. When I was doing 200-meter Paralympics cycling I jammed my finger and it really hurt. One thing I found interesting was that the new building in the AIS was the pool, it cost 7 million. At the pool you could go under the ground and see the swimmers from below and they were about 40 cameras. After a long day we got home then slept.

On another pleasant morning we had breakfast then we had time to skype. Unfortunately, none of my friends were online but Oliver Tran (Josh’s friend) was online. After skyping we went to Cockington as our first destination. At Cockington they model little people with houses and famous landmarks. My favorite was the velociraptor with the army people and the planes. We also went on an international train where you see famous landmarks from around the world.

War memorial
The second destination was the War memorial where we went on a tour around the place. The place was my dad’s favorite because it was free and there were so many galleries! One of the topics that interested me was Gallipoli! At Gallipoli they had to go up hill where their turks were waiting for them which made the Australians have the disadvantage. Many Australians got shot even though they were camouflage because of the white bag on their uniform was showing.

Then we got home after that and we played a board game called pop and hop. We also had bread roles for dinner before I went to sleep.
