This was our third showgrounds and as I stayed at two showgrounds already I expected a lot out of this one. It came out with a splash as to get to it we had to drive through half a meter of water over road. I thought next time I would stick my head out to have an early shower.

We got there and viewed the area before having a choice of being at the top level and having electricity and water or at the bottom where you can have fires, peace and quiet and be by a river. I already made my choice as we were going to stay here for 2 weeks, and two weeks with no water and electricity... I said ‘’no way’’.

We set up camp and took up some time making a huge pen for the dogs, but it was worth it as I could see them rolling around and enjoying their space. We went down to the creek to check it out with the dogs, we had a blast as we went on our boogie boards and just let the current do the work. Later that day we started skimming rocks as well as shooting them with our sling shot. After a while we went back with our scratched boards to base camp and started a fire.

The showgrounds caretaker allowed us to make a fire so without further instructions, we lit it. We invited our neighbours to come and join us, while they were having adult conversation with my parents I was having spaghetti in the caravan. It took a while for the fire to die down, but I was just too sleepy to stay awake.

The next day we were still exploring and finding new features around the showgrounds. I gulped my eggs with some toast before I went to explore with my bro’s. I found a huge two square court, I couldn’t resist so I played a little with my brothers before I saw the downfall. A sign that said no ball games I decided to ignore the sigh because it looked very old and dented but my brothers scrammed.

We left the sight to explore the town and shops. We drove through the water logged road like usual but this time I stuck my head out to get the full blast. We saw a few things including some parks, shops and some more national parks.

While going around town we found a martial arts gym with different classes, one after school. As always, I put my hand up to participate in the experience so at 4:00 we stretched quickly and headed off. When we arrived, there were not many people there but that didn’t bother me. We did some normal stretching drills before having some physical contact with the punching bags. We practiced some basic moves like kicking, kneeing and punching. We also did some positioning, so you don’t get critical hits to the jaw. We started doing exercises for the muscles and legs, just the usual including pushups, pullups and star jumps. We were close to finishing and I felt relieved as we started sprinting on the spot.

We went for some smoothies to refresh ourselves before going home. At the caravan I just wanted to relax and think about other things.

On the weekend still feeling tired from yesterday some friends came over to visit from Brisbane. We greeted them with respect and showed them around the showgrounds before heading to Lamington National Park. We arrived there in two separate cars going through a rough terrain on a sunny day. We ate some Japanese candy and it didn’t taste that bad compared to our candy in Australia. We took some selfies and played a few games. We arrived there an hour later and by that time we have ran out of candy. We inspected the artifacts in the small museum, but I couldn’t really enjoy the experience as my brothers kept steeling my hat.

We went up to the top of the mountain and enjoyed the view before getting some snacks. We arrived back at the caravan and started a small fire just in time as we were getting tired from chasing each other. The next morning, they returned the favor by inviting us to their house. I arrived there last and got the pleasure to get shot with nerf guns. I ran for it and not knowing where I was going, I got shot at from every direction. I surrendered as I was out numbered, and I took my defeat by having some candy in shame. We got upstairs and viewed our surroundings before having a fair fight again with the nerf guns, I got shot everywhere and lost count sadly. We had some sandwiches and relaxed a little as we were all hurt from the guns. We played a little on his computer before having to say good bye and wishing him good luck.

Our time at the showgrounds eventually ended because the limit stay is for 2 weeks. Before we left we attended the Anzac parade to celebrate those soldiers who served Australia. We dressed up in our scout’s uniform and after the service said hello to the Canungra Scouts who invited us to stay at the scout’s den which was great as we had no where else to go. We arrived their and got 8 acres of land for ourselves!

We let the dogs run around but were cautious as there were snakes. After we set up their was a cub’s scout’s working bee which we participated as they brought us in their den and we wanted to help.

Most of the time we were admiring the den but sometimes we would go to the creek and go into the freezing water. We would also of played some soccer occasionally with the cubs.
