After having an expectably good time at Kathrine we were looking forward to going up north as we have been anxiously waiting for territory day. We made our mark at Wallaby camp as it was close to where Territory day was going to be celebrated. We had two days to prepare, some of you might ask to prepare what? Well Fireworks of course! At Territory day fireworks are legal which was great, I think dad went a little overboard as he went for the $160-dollar THUNDER pack! It was a very shocking decision, but I seemed convinced.

At Wallaby camp things seemed great as it was cheap, had electricity, water and surprisingly a dog area. It looked like we were saving money but on food it was excruciating. After setting up our caravan I got to think of other things such as how hot it was. That problem was also solved as we got to go to the water park as it was less crowded not being on school holidays. We had a blast as we went on the biggest slide on our board and raced each other.

Unfortunately, after all the excitement I went under the big bucket to cool down with my brothers and I slipped and got a big graze on both my knees... Thanks Darwin.

Unfortunately, we had to lower the amount of times we went to the waterpark. If it wasn’t the water park it was the Palmerston Library. We went to the library daily as it had the fastest internet ever also because of dad’s work. After another day’s work of blog at the library and a little bit of Fortnite we decided to go to a street market. Darwin is known for its multicultural street markets. As we were browsing the menus there were things like a Japanese Sushi Burger, Indonesian Nasi Goreng, French crapes and a whole lot of variety’s. I didn’t mind what I ate but I must admit the Indonesian Noodles with Nasi Goreng was traditional. The next day I was hyped as that was Territory day. I didn’t know what to expect as I had never been to one. I arrived at Mindil market to find most of the parking’s slots were already full and I thought we were early. As soon as I walked through the gates it was a monkey house as there was music, stalls and rides everywhere. I didn’t know where to begin but Raf did as he wanted a bird whistle which was $15. After begging mum for a budget, we succeeded and got ourselves $5 each. We went around looking for possible money giveaways like a slushy for $3, in the end I saved my money. When we were all stuffed we sat down on our mat and watched a small circus act. Half way through the show just when the show stopper was about to commence, fighter planes came out of nowhere and flew right above us, I thought we were being RAIDED, I blocked my ears as it was so loud. After that we made our way to the beach as the fireworks was about to begin.

Five minutes before the fireworks began I had to listen to Raf acting like a Kookaburra with his whistle, it had started to get annoying. Finally, one after the other fireworks kept coming in patterns and all. It was so beautiful, when they finished we went home as it was our turn to light our own fireworks. We went outside on the road and one by one dad, Josh and I let one firework loose then ran back to the car. BOOM up in the sky was a little light show after a while the owner of a house nearby got nervous and told us to go somewhere else. It was fun while it lasted It was an experience in its own way. Still having thoughts about yesterday we decided to go to Berry Springs.

The rangers told us about the crocodiles before we jumped in and that there were freshies but they weren't a problem. I got my noodle out and drifted with the current towards the waterfall. Once we got there we just went into our secret spot under the waterfall. We dried up and stayed at our caravan for the rest of the night.

The next place we went to was Kakadu national park we had to leave the dogs at the caravan as they were not allowed.

We planned to go to the Ubirr lookout to see the aboriginal art and the view. The next thing I noticed was we had to go up a big hill to arrive at our destination (morning exercise). 1000 steps later we arrived at the top and saw the ancient aboriginal paintings, the Rainbow serpent and the Sisters.

The sisters are a story about two girls both could transform into a crocodile and one day they ate all the other people at the lake. After all that we enjoyed the awesome view, we felt like we were on top of the world. As we had limited time at Kakadu and Litchfield we headed straight to Wangi Wangi falls.

Still trying to catch up with my family as I was exhausted I fell flat in the water like a pancake. We swam all the way to the falls and secretly went to the hot pool hiding at the top of the falls. It was our special spot although some people saw us go up and followed. We took five minutes to cool down in the hot water, but it was still worth it. We were on a tight schedule, so we moved on to Florence a recommend falls. It was another long walk and it thought it would have been a weeks’ worth of exercise. We arrived there after twenty minutes and saw someone at the very top of the falls who didn’t know how to get down as it was wet and mossy. I got changed and got the GoPro and climbed a bit on the falls for the perfect picture.

Still we didn’t turn back as we went for our third pool of the day the Cascades. After all of that I was surprised I was still standing or not as I was on my bed exhausted.
